Meet Rocky - A Loyal Soul in Need of a Second Chance
Rocky was rescued from death row at a shelter in 2022 and has spent years living in a kennel, waiting for his person to come along. 💔 Before that, he bounced between several shelters, and it’s clear that Rocky hasn’t had an easy life.
Due to past abuse, Rocky developed serious trust issues and is very sensitive to touch and unexpected situations. He needs a very experienced, calm, and patient handler—someone who understands how to work with dogs who have a bite history and trauma.
He is not ready for a typical home just yet—he still needs rehabilitation and structure. Luckily, we have an amazing trainer working with him at AGWC Rockin’ Rescue. Rocky has made great progress, including going on successful outings to public places where he’s learning to be more comfortable around people.
Now, he needs a committed, skilled person to keep building on that work—ideally someone with dog training experience, especially with reactive or fearful dogs.
