💔 ROXY HAS BEEN WAITING FOR FIVE YEARS 💔

Shepherd Mix | Born January 21, 2020 | Spayed | Vaccinated | Microchipped | Good with Dogs
Roxy has spent nearly her entire life waiting.
She was just a young puppy when she was found abandoned at a public park in the San Fernando Valley. Skittish and unsure of people, she came to us without knowing what safety or kindness felt like. With time, consistency, and a lot of patience, Roxy slowly opened up — and today, she’s a sweet, gentle girl who adores the staff and volunteers she knows well.
Now over five years old, Roxy has grown up at our rescue. She’s a small German Shepherd mix, possibly with Border Collie or Corgi. Despite her shy start, she’s done remarkably well with other dogs — she’s been kenneled with dogs, participated in structured playgroups, and gone on pack walks with ease. She’s also great in the car and has always been in good health.
What Roxy hasn’t had is the chance to experience life in a real home.
She’s never had a family of her own — not even for a short period. Because of that, she will need time and support to adjust to a home environment. She’ll benefit from continued confidence building and socialization, ideally with the help of a professional trainer. To support her successful transition, we include three free dog training sessions with our trainer for adopters who live locally.
Roxy is not a high-energy dog. She enjoys calm walks, gentle attention, and relaxing next to people she trusts. She would thrive in a quiet, adult-only home — ideally one with a backyard and people who can give her time, structure, and love. She can live with other dogs, but it’s important that her new family has the time and dedication to focus on her individual needs.
She is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to begin the next chapter of her life — with someone who’s truly committed to making it work.
If you think Roxy could be the right match for you, please don’t wait. She’s been waiting long enough.
